dc.description.abstract | Methodological issues of the use of vibrators and vibration apparatus in engineering and seismological measurements are considered. Application of vibrators in testing of buildings and in microseismic regionalization allows one to obtain processed results during a vibration run at the site of works, which provides high efficiency and accuracy of measurements. Using a vibrator, the engineering and seismological measurements can be carried out at shear, compressional and surface waves and at various signal intensities, which is important in studies of nonlinear response of buildings and construction to seismic effects. The efficiency of the use of vibrators in engineering seismology is verified by experimental results. | |
