Abstract:
Древнекаменный век (палеолит) был «младенческим возрастом» нашей цивилизации. Человек учился быть человеком, преодолевал сопротивление окружающей среды., делал наиболее грандиозные и основополагающие открытия в познании окружающего мира: овладевал огнем, выяснял свойства материалов, приручал животных, создавал первые в истории произведения искусства и календари... В сущности люди палеолита ужи были первыми в истории человечества химиками, математиками, инженерами, геологами, астрономами. И, конечно же, их пытливый ум был заинтригован окаменевшими остатками ископаемых животных и растений окаменелостями (фоссилиями). Человек не мог объяснить их происхождение, но приносил в жилища:, использовал естественные каменные изваяния, украшая себя и свое местообитание, наделяя таинственные предметы магическими и целительными свойствами оберегов, талисманов, а быть может, и делая их предметом обмена, прообразом первых денег. Можно предполагать. что охотннкн на мамонтов и бнзонов были первыми в истории человечества «примитивными» палеонтологами и «охотниками за окамепелостями». Следам такой первобытной палеолитической палеонтологии в Восточной Европе и посвящена данная публикация.
