dc.description.abstract | Three possible scenarios can be proposed for generation of boninite melts in a suprasubduction zone of eastern Kamchatka: (1) plume model [11] that explains specific conditions of boninite petrogenesis under the influence of mantle plume; (2) obduction of lithospheric fragments related to different geodynamic settings (in particular, to spreading in the Komandor Basin of the marginal Bering Sea); and (3) local subduction of a relatively hot microplate. | |
