Abstract:
Арктический, или Северный Ледовитый, океан занимает особое положение на нашей планете. В противоположность Южному полюсу Земли, где в самых высоких широтах располагается Антарктический континент, поднимающийся над уровнем моря на 3000 м, на Северном полюсе в симметричной точке располагается океанская котловина с глубинами порядка 3000 м. Также и в тектонической эволюции Земли в целом: предполагается, что Антарктический континент за последние 150 млн. лет практически не перемещался, а в Арктике все процессы, сформировавшие структуру этого региона, произошли именно в этот промежуток геологического времени. Собранные в последние годы данные по батиметрии бассейна Северного Ледовитого океана, включая его обширный шельф, позволяют уточнить границы основных структурных элементов дна (рис. 1). К ним в центральной части океана относятся (с запада на восток): Евразийская впадина со срединным хребтом Гаккеля, хребет Ломоносова, впадина Макарова, хребет Альфа - Менделеева и Канадская впадина. Евразийский шельф Северного Ледовитого океана по возрасту и структуре фундамента (с запада на восток) можно разделить на Баренцевоморский (Свальбардский), Карский, Лаптевский и Восточно-Сибирско-Чукотский [23, 67]. Последний включает в себя западную часть шельфа моря Бофорта. Узкая полоска шельфа прослеживается от устья р. Маккензи вдоль Канадского Арктического архипелага и севера Гренландии. Только восточный сектор Евразийского шельфа Арктики и шельф Аляски и Канады одновозрастны с сопредельной Канадской глубоководной впадиной. Западнее формирование шельфовых структур закончилось задолго до возникновения морфологических элементов центральных областей океана. Анализ строения Арктического океана начнем с Амеразийского бассейна, в центре которого располагается Канадская впадина.
