dc.description.abstract There exists a definite relationship between type of the geomagnetic field and the individual stages of megacycles of the Earth's evolution. Based on their experimental data, the authors draw the following conclusions: (1) There exists a definite correlation between tectonic and magnetic properties of the Earth and Earth-group planets. (2) Endogene evolution of the Earth and Earth-group planets is controlled by processes in the core. (3) The latter are reflected in events that are completed in the lithosphere in at most a few score million years and probably faster, so there must exist some kind of mechanism of fast energy transfer from the core to the lithosphere. (4) The endogene activity of such planets is correlative with their type of magnetic field, and the latter, in turn, depends on their rotation rate, which, consequently, must be one of the principal factors controlling the rate of their evolution.
