dc.description.abstract | One of the most effective methods of studying the surfaces of particles in samples of the lunar regolith is X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. In this investigation, an ES-2401 instrument was used for X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The particles are multilayered and bear the traces of a variety of processes that influenced regolith development on the moon: evaporation as a result of a meteorite impact, followed by condensation of target material, development of endogenetic gas condensates, condensation of evaporated meteorite material, and reduction of the particle surface by the solar wind. | |
