dc.description.abstract Glasses from two EPR and two MAR basalts were crushed sequentially to release argon in a stepwise fashion. The results show a variation in ratios within each sample, indicating that the argon trapped in the vesicles has as much ‘air-contamination’ as that dissolved in the glass.
