dc.description.abstract The principles of the technique of Satellite Laser Ranging are briefly explained and the current status and outlook for further development are described. Results for the application of this technique in the WEGENER program are reviewed and strategies for continued contributions to this program from stationary and transportable laser ranging systems are presented.
