dc.description.abstract Using the example of the Kaluga ring structure, the authors discuss the results of the hydrogen-thoron emanation survey and of the variations of the electric field of the near-Earth troposphere, caused by the ionization of the near-Earth surface atmosphere and by the energy of the decay of the radon and thoron emanating from the Earth surface. It is shown that reflected in the fields discussed are both the tectonic patterns of the ring structure proper, and of the faults forming the tectonic pattern of the northwestern part of the Russian Plate. Both of them served as the routes for the concentrated natural gas flows from their deep regions to the regions of their discharge, namely, to the near-earth troposphere, and for the respective discharge of the abnormal radon concentrations.
