dc.description.abstract Ophiolites and black shales cut by granitoids associate closely within the Ospino-Kitoi area of the Eastern Sayan. This object is unique in that the diverse rocks occurring in this territory including ultrabasic rocks, plagiogranites, dikes of plagiogranite porphyry, and schists show high levels of carbonization. The nature of this phenomenon is not clear. The problem is of considerable importance, because the carbonized rocks show high gold and platinum-group element contents, diamonds were found in the carbon-bearing ultrabasic rocks, and economic gold-silver mineralization is related to the carbon-bearing plagiogranites.
