dc.description.abstract The inverse gravimetric problem for a set of simple bodies is solved. Each body consists of three mutually intersecting pivots. In the 2D version, each body consists of two plates at right angles to each other. Solving the inverse problem provides a solution of at least one of the following problems: analytical approximation of the original field, identification of the integral characteristics of the geological model by which that field has been generated, and constructing a general geological diagram of that region. A model example is included.
