Abstract:
New taxa of mayflies from the Upper Mesozoic Shar-Teeg locality in Mongolia are described. These are Furvoneta lucida sp. nov.; E sobria sp. nov. (Mesonetidae); Epeorominzus urnbratus sp. nov. (Epeo-romimidae); and Siberiogerzites inongolic~rs sp. nov. (Hexagenitidae), all based on nymphs; and Sharephemera cubitalis gen. et sp. nov. (Sharephemeridae fam. nov.), based on a wing. A new specimen of the rare species Clavineta carttabilis is found, which is supposed to be a filter feeder. Peculiarities of the Shar-Teeg mayfly fauna are discussed.
