Abstract:
Несколько трендов в ранней истории Земли (убывание радиогенного тепла и вулканической активности, рост континентов как минеральных ловушек, изменение состава объектов выветривания и эрозии, снижение концентрации углекислого газа, остывание и оксигенизация биосферы) вели к химическому обеднению гидросферы и атмосферы. Биота всегда играла главную роль в мобилизации, перемещении и концентрации химических элементов в пределах биосферы. Захороненные на стабильных континентах, эти элементы изымались из активного геохимического круговорота. Самым драматичным для жизни явлением было снижение доступности и подвижности многих металлов, которые демонстрируют высокую каталитическую активность и формируют активную часть ферментов - подлинных движителей обменных процессов в живой клетке. Эвкариотизацию биосферы -от происхождения эвкариотной клетки до появления человека, рост гетеротрофии и усложнение трофической структуры глобальной экосистемы - можно рассматривать как эволюционный ответ на геохимическое обеднение биосферы.
