dc.description.abstract Different investigation techniques (field geology and structural analysis, geomorphology, seismic reflection profiles and seismological data) have been used to develop images of the Gubbio fault, giving us the opportunity to compare different approaches and evaluate points of consensus and controversy in fault analysis and characterization. From our integrated analysis we define a well-focussed image of the geometry and kinematics of the Gubbio fault and the related Quaternary basin, while the seismogenic role of the fault is still ambiguous.
