Abstract:
The distribution of trace elements among rock-forming and accessory minerals was studied in the granodiorites of the central (Chusovskoi, Shabrovskii, Verkhisetskii, and Shartashskii plutons) and southern (Smolinskii and Syrostanskii plutons) Urals. K, Rb, Cs, Ba, Nb, Ta, Th, U, and LREE concentrations increase in the rocks of major intrusive phases eastward from the Main Uralian Fault. The abundance of accessory minerals, their trace element concentrations, and the contribution to the trace element budget of the granitoids increase in the same direction. This tendency is related mainly to the composition of the source rocks from which the granitoid magma was derived.
