CYCLIC-ZONAL SEQUENCE OF ACCUMULATION AND DISSEMINATION OF ELEMENTS IN TIME IN THE SEDIMENTARY COMPLEXES OF EASTERN YAKUTIA

Abstract

For the first time for eastern Yakutia, encompassing the Mesozoides of the Verkhoyansk clastic complex in the Baraya anticlinorium (BA), the Sartang synclinorium (SS) and the South Verkhoyansk synclinorium (SVS), the Paleozoides of the clastic carbonate complex in the Sette Daban anticlinorium (SDA) and, finally, the Ripheides of a simlar clastic carbonate complex in the Kyllakh basement swell (KBS), the lithogeochemistry was studied of a section of sedimentary rocks ranging in age from early Riphean to Middle Jurassic. One feature specific to this region is that the geochemistry of little-metamorphosed sedimentary complexes can be studied almost continuously both in time and in space from west to east. In eastern Yakutia, there are fairly explicit examples of the transverse regional, stratigraphic, metallogenic zoning of gold systems. Concentrations of most widespread elements were calculated from 1018 silicate and carbonate analyses. To estimate the content of mercury and several other elements, special analytical procedures were used. These and other aspects of the subject are discussed.
