dc.description.abstract | The authors investigated scheelite by the X-ray luminescence and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) methods. The spectra of about 200 specimens from 45 deposits of various types, including gold, copper-molybdenum, tungsten, tin and polymetallic, were determined. We found that scheelite from gold deposits, unlike all other sources, has a distinct positive europium anomaly, which is identifiable in the X-ray luminescence spectra and in the EPR spectra. The variations in the distribution of the entire range of rare earths in scheelite from gold deposits of different associations must be considered with reference of the principal factors governing the differentiation of these elements in the hydrothermal process. | |
