dc.description.abstract The patterns of electric current passage through rocks are still not completely understood. Also by no means fully understood, are the geoelectric phenomena produced by the passage of seismic waves. Earlier studies devoted to these phenomena have concentrated on processes conserving frequency, that is, processes in which the geoelectric response of the medium evoked by the seismic effect is not accompanied by the generation of additional frequencies. The present study was designed to call attention to the generation of geoelectric signals at combination frequencies (SCF) when rocks are subjected to vibration. In recording geoelectric oscillations when the vibrations source was switched on, the spectrum shared in addition to the main spectral lines, some new, 'satellite' lines, whose shifts, away the main lines toward the red and blue, are equal to multiples of the frequency of the seismic vibration.
