dc.description.abstract	Composition, structure and origin have been studied for newly discovered types of kutnahorite and rhodochrosite containing up to 8.5% of CoCO3. This is a unique peculiarity of the carbonate-manganese mineralization of Verkhnetyshorskoye occurence-such anomalous high grade of cobalt, with unusually low ferruginousity. Content of CoO varies there from 0.16 up to 1.20%, with average value 0.62%. Analyses with hydrochloric acid extracts have shown that practically total cobalt is In carbonate compounds.
