dc.description.abstract | Ringwoodite, a compact modification of olivine (γ-olivine), was experimentally synthesized under static loads (within the interval 6-24 GPa, depending on the composition and the olivine-ringwoodite conversion temperature) [1]. During the joint experimental study of shock metamorphism of rocks conducted by researchers from the All-Russia Research Institute of Technical Physics (Russian Federal Nuclear Center) and the Department of Petrology (Moscow State University), ringwoodite was first obtained under shock-wave loading conditions. | |
