CYCLIC SEQUENCES (CYCLITES) IN UPPER CRETACEOUS LIMESTONES IN THE CRIMEAN MOUNTAINS AND THEIR POSSIBLE NATURE

Abstract

A study was made of cyclic sequences (cyclites) in light grey Upper Cretaceous limestones in the Crimean mountains. Cyclic sequences of various types and thicknesses were recognized. The nature of the sequences made it possible to reach conclusions about the depositional environments and climatic conditions during deposition.
