Аннотация

A model describing the redistribution of masses of variable valence elements and their isotopes at a moving okidation front appearing in the course of oxygen-bearing water penetration into deep crustal levels was used to interpret the data on the isotopic signatures and abundances of sulfur and carbon compounds in the natural mineralized zones of hydrogenous and hydrothermal origin. It was shown that the behavior of reduced and oxidized species and isotopes of both sulfur and carbon is adequately described by the model. A characteristic feature of the zoning is matter accumulation near the oxidation boundary and progressive enrichment of the oxidized and reduced species of the elements in the heavy isotopes away from it. We also examined changes in the type of zoning related to the migration of part of the reduced sulfur and carbon compounds from the area of their generation into the frontal parts of the moving zoned column and changes due to disturbances in the hydrodynamic regime of the system.
