On the basis of new factual material, the history of the formation of the Prebaikalia vegetation cover is considered. For this purpose data of palynological analysis for nine sections of lacustrine-palustrine deposits were used jointly with the results of carpological analysis and radiocarbon dating. There are five basic periods in development of Prebaikalian vegetation for the last 12 thousand years. It is shown that the climatic setting was not uniform during this period.
