THE KUNGURIAN STAGE OF THE PERMIAN SYSTEM: PROBLEMS OF RECOGNITION AND CORRELATION

Abstract

The article summarizes results of investigations of the Kungurian Stage for more than 100 years. Correlations inside the Cisuralian sedimentary basin, substantiation of stage and horizon boundaries, and their recognition in this and adjacent basins of the western Arctic and Tethyan provinces are discussed.
