| dc.description.abstract | Structurally preserved pistillate heads from the Upper Cretaceous of Eastern Siberia are described and assigned to a new genus Lindacarpa N. Maslova gen. nov. (Hamamelidaceae) The question of the morphological divergence of platanoid and hamamelioid pistillate structures is addressed. The implications of the new discovery for the evolutionary morphology of hamamelids are explored. | |
