Аннотация

The Mongol-Siberian belt of rejuvenated mountains is an ordered system of large domes, zones of linear warping, and the Baikal rift zone on the broad basement doming. Its morphology is paragenetically related to the shape and thickness of the asthenolith beneath the lithosphere of the mountain belt. Calculations of the upwarping range for the mountain belt basement due to asthenolithic activity were performed. The rated upwarping range is only part of the reason for its high position. It is supplemented with the isostatic uplift of light lithosphere geoblocks and the impact of the asthenolith's "roots" that extend far into the mantle along line 100°E.
