dc.description.abstractInvestigation of materials based on diamond, including methods of mechanochemistry, is attracting significant interest. Heat abstraction has become a pressing issue in the semiconductor industry. For example, the amount of heat released from a core of 112 mm2 in the Intel microprocessor based on the 90-nm technology is more than 100 W. Therefore, improvement of thermal properties of materials used for the preparation of components in microelectronics is a crucial issue. The Advanced Diamond Solutions Company has proposed composites based on copper and diamond. As compared to the conventional materials, such composites have significantly higher heat conductance.
