Devonian and Lower Carboniferous deposits of the southern part of the Siberian platform (the Angara River region) are considered in this paper. Lithologic description and paleontological characteristics of all Devonian and Lower Carboniferous stratigraphic units and their analogs are presented, and the units are correlated. Geology and tectonics of the region are analyzed in connection with the formation history of studied deposits.
