A whole series of observations indicates that intramineralization transformations have an important effect on ore emplacement, but suitable methods of identifying them and estimating their scale have not yet been adequately investigated. We consider the redeposition of earlier-formed ore material by later hydrothermal solutions in two well-studied and deeply drilled deposits with veinlet-disseminated mineralization of the gold-sulfide ore association with finely divided gold. Though composed of very similar ores, these deposits differ considerably in lithology and age of their host rocks, as well as in morphology of their ore bodies and type of ore-controlling structures.
