THE ROLE OF VOLCANICLASTIC MATERIAL IN ROCKS OF THE SEDIMENTARY COVER OF THE WEST SIBERIAN PLATFORM

Abstract

Presented is the analysis of lithogeochemical investigation of West Siberian platform (WSP) sedimentary rock composition for the period from Triassic to Paleogene inclusively. The conducted analysis in a complex with geologic, tectonic and paleographic data indicates the limited contribution of volcanic pyroclastic material in WSP sedimentary rock composition and, correspondingly, its inconsiderable effect on the collector, screening and other properties of the rocks.
