NEW MINERALOGICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL DATA ON LEAD-ZINC DEPOSITS OF THE SADON ORE FIELD, NORTH OSSETIA

Abstract

New mineralogical data have been recently obtained on the Nizhnii Zgid and Dzhimidon deposits. A wide diversity of bismuth minerals was first found and identified in the ores. These are native bismuth, bismuthinite, cosalite, galenobismutite, variable Ag–Pb–Bi–S compounds, Bi-bearing galena, and others.
