SPREADING OF DENSE SHELF WATER IN THE DEEP SEA OF OKHOTSK

Abstract

The MDSW represents a powerful and the most significant factor responsible for ventilation (consequently, formation and variability) of the intermediate water mass of the North Pacific. The main purpose of this work is a calculation of new thermohaline indices of the MDSW and discussion of its spreading patterns and mixing in the Sea of Okhotsk.
