REVIEW: MESOSCALE MODELLING IN COMPLEX TERRAIN

Abstract

This review focuses on those aspects of mesoscale models which require special techniques and parameterizations when modelling flow over complex terrain. The basic concepts and limitations of various approaches are discussed, and applications of models to specific problems are presented.
