The Zerkaly chondritic meteorite belongs to the high-Fe (olivine-bronzite) type H5, with a severely limonitized matrix. Like chondrules, the matrix is characterized by nonuniform texture. The meteorite underwent secondary heating and deformation on the Earth, probably resulting in deterioration of its primary textures, structures, mineral composition, and even chemical composition to a variable extent.
