Regularities in change of electrical properties of rocks observed laterally and with depth above the probable oil-and-gas deposits are examined. A technique for preliminary estimation of oil-and-gas content of the sedimentary basins is suggested based on resistivity determinations at different depth levels from the surface as a result of reinterpretation of the previously obtained electrical sounding data. The results of data reinterpretation are reported for the area of the Upper-Bikin depression.
