The detailed analysis of EPR and luminescence spectra of natural 1aB diamonds with plastic deformation traces is given and the effect of P,T treatment on nitrogen defect transformation in this crystals is investigated. As result, the following conclusions are made. Plastic deformation in 1aB diamonds destroys B1-forms of aggregated nitrogen, creating P1- and P2-centers. The centers located closely to dislocation are ionized due to charge transfer from N-defects on the cleaved bonds in dislocation center. At 1aB diamond annealing dislocations, migrating within crystal, continue destroying complex N-defects (A, B1) and create the simpler nitrogen forms: P1-, P2- and H3-centers. These results can explain the fail of many experiments attempting to change the color of diamonds with plastic deformation traces by P,T-treatment.
