The authors present a general theory of propagation of electromagnetic pulse excitations in the diffusion domain, for horizontally layered media, in the form of integral hodographs of electrical and magnetic types. The results of physical modeling aimed at studying kinematic characteristics of quasi-stationary electromagnetic fields are discussed. New directions and possibilities of spatial-temporal electromagnetic sounding systems in application to some urgent applied problems have been developed on this basis and used in practice.
