Discovery of apovolcanic aluminoquartzite with rare metal phosphate mineralization drastically changed the notions on mineragenic potential of Riphean metamorphic complexes in the Polar Urals. Until recently, it was believed that these metasomatites are directly related to the Riphean volcanism. However, we obtained new data on Middle-Late Ordovician age of the aluminoquartzite. These data have a great significance for the evolution of notions on the geological history and mineralogeny of the Polar Urals.
