In this paper we will compare the Riphean (Late Proterozoic) ophiolites of the North Baikalian region and Polar Urals of the Bohemian and Saxonian granulite massifs, the Paleozoic ophiolites of West and East Sayan, Urals, Stara Planina and Polish Sudetes, etc. In these examples the similarity of the main stages of the tectonic evolution of the Paleoasiatic and Iapetus oceans is shown. It is clear that the majority of them had a multistage evolution in oceanic, back-arc or ensimatic arc condition. Further, the general scheme of this evolution is shown.
