I have studied the distribution of gold contents in the reference and other particular sections of the sedimentary rocks of the Southern Verkhoyan region. Analysis of the distribution of gold in the section through the sedimentary rocks reveals a periodicity in the accumulation of gold, which I previously noted in the case of other widely occurring elements. This first synthesis of the gold distribution in the sedimentary rock complexes of the region permits the development of a more profound strategy for predicting gold mineralization in the Soviet Northeast and additional revision of the gold mineralization tending to be in the above gold-rich levels in the sedimentary rocks. Experience shows that the maximum scale of gold mineralization appears where the levels of excess gold accumulation are, in a favourable geologic situation, directly underlain by intrusive or where a thermofluid front was formed as a result of other factors determining the redistribution of the material in the sedimentary rocks.
