STUDIES OF THE COAL FACIES IN WESTERN UKRAINE (THE LVOV-VOLYN BASIN)

Abstract

The authors reviewed shortly the recent state of knowledge in the field of petrographic compositions and origins of the Carboniferous age coals in the Lvov-Volyn coal basin (LVB) as well as make the proper conclusions about the conditions of peat-accumulation, according to the results of former investigations performed by themselves and other researchers.
