NEW SPECIES OF EARLY FRASNIAN PALMATOLEPIS (CONODONTA) FROM SOUTHERN TIMAN

Abstract

The composition of the genus Palmatolepis from the lower member of the Domanik Formation in Southern Timan essentially differs from conodont assemblages of synchronous units (the Middle + Upper asymmetrica zones) in other regions. In addition to Palmatolepis transitons Müller and P. punctata Hinde, five new species are found: P. gutta, P. keyserlingi, P. maximovae, P. rotitndilobata, and P. triquetra. The phylogeny of Early Frasnian Palmatolepis is given.
