MORPHOLOGICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF CONODONT ELEMENT REGENERATION

Abstract

Morphological and histological aspects of conodont element regeneration are considered on the basis of material from the Late Devonian and Early Carboniferous. It is shown that the regeneration mechanism of conodonts significantly differed from that of vertebrates.
