MAGNOLOBIA: A NEW BIVALVE GENUS FROM THE BOREAL LADINIAN

Abstract

Posidoniids (Mollusca, Bivalvia) from the Ladinian of Northeastern Asia are revised. A new genus Magnolobia with the type species Daonella prima Kiparisova, 1946 is established. New morphological structures are revealed, and the taxonomy of the genus is revised. The type species and two new species (M. cara sp. nov. and M. distincta) are described.
