One of the most important problems in the physical chemistry of pyrometallugical processes involves the arsenic compounds that result from the processing of ores and concentrates and the optimum ways of separating and burying them. The commonest such compounds are calcium arsenates. In this paper we present data on the system CaO-As2O5 and the thermodynamic properties of the compounds formed in it.
