In this paper we describe the determination of the temperature field and estimation of surface and plutonic heat flows and of the contribution of radiogenic heating to the total heat flux in a particular region (Kura Depression). We investigate the way in which the heat flux density depends on the mineralogical and chemical composition and the density and thermophysical properties of the rocks.
