GEOBIOCHRONOLOGICAL STUDIES OF THE RIPHEAN AND VENDIAN IN THE CONTEXT OF SEARCH FOR PRECAMBRIAN HYDROCARBONS

Abstract

The Riphean and Vendian are characterized as a distinctive stage in the evolution of the biosphere. It is demonstrated that benthic and pelagic biotas of that time were sources of hydrocarbons in Precambrian sedimentary strata.
