dc.description.abstract	In this communication, we present new geological and geochronological evidence (U–Pb dating of single zircon grains and microcharges) for identification of the Vendian stage in the formation of metamorphic complexes of the Baydrag block of the Dzabhan microcontinent. This, in turn, allows us to recognize the Vendian accretionary–collisional stage in the evolution of the Early Caledonian domain of Central Asia as a whole.
