GALLIUM, GOLD, AND PLATINUM GROUP METALS IN MANGANESE ROCKS OF SOUTHERN SIKHOTE ALIN

Abstract

In the Dal’nerechensk, Ol’ginsk, and Dal’negorsk ore districts of Sikhote Alin, the Triassic–Jurassic carbonaceous sequence includes metamorphosed metalliferous sediments. The upper, Jurassic part of the sequence is largely composed of carbonaceous mudstones and silty mudstones. The lower, Middle–Upper Triassic part consists of alternating carbon-rich siliceous and siliceous–clayey rocks. The carbonaceous sequence is intruded and metamorphosed by Late Cretaceous granitoids.
