Qualitative particularities in vertical crack of hydraulic break propagating in petroleum pool have been analyzed with the use of mathematical models. Assumption about plasticity of the enclosing rocks have been made in this case. Qualitative analysis of parametric dependences of Khristianovich-Pertsma-de Klerk model equation solutions have been performed. It has been shown that only break pressure is dependent on side rock pressure. Similar results have been obtained in case of application of Perkins-Kern-Nordgren model. The main geometric characteristics of developed crack as well as value of net pressure are determined by volume of injected fluid.
